What is SmartDraw?

SmartDraw is software designed for creating charts and diagrams. It comes with various shapes and lines for immediate creation of charts (flowcharts, organizational charts), floor plans, mind maps, and network diagrams, among others. Also included are graph objects, Gantt chart elements and other diagramming tools.

The shapes can be resized or rotated in any way. Shapes can be stretched horizontally or vertically, while texts within the shapes can be automatically resized to make them fit into the figures. For connectors, there are various objects provided including straight lines, curved lines, bevels, and lightning bolts. Fill colors and theme colors are likewise provided to make the chart or diagram looked more organized.

SmartDraw integrates with MS Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint or Excel. This means that the user can export their charts to these applications, without losing any data. The option to export to MS Office apps is provided on the user interface. Diagrams and charts can likewise be exported to PDF, or sent via email through MS Outlook as an attached document.
