A discontinued accounting software, the Microsoft Office Accounting (formerly Small Business Accounting) was aimed towards small businesses with 1 to 25 employees. It was discontinued on November 16, 2009 in both the US and the UK. The Microsoft Office Accounting 2009 Service Pack 3 provides lots of updates for the US and the UK versions of the Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2009 and the Microsoft Accounting Professional 2009. This software also includes stability and improvements in performance.

Its latest version was available in both Express and Professional editions. It had several features, which included tax preparation add-ins, and a Spanish language pack. Supported operating systems include Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.
