The Bolide Slideshow Creator is freeware that can be used to create slideshows in a video format. The software is exclusively for Windows systems and works with the vast majority of image files, from JPEGs and PNGs to BMPs and GIFs. Users can import as many images as they like to use in their compositions, which can also have background music added to them. The audio files that can be imported include the MP3, MP4, AAC, M4A, WMA, and OGG formats. Users can compose a slide timeline that includes not only images and audio, but also text in case they want notes and titles to appear with their photos.
The software also provides users with dozens of transitions built into the program. These effects can be employed to lend slideshows added interest as they progress—the effects can even be set to randomize so that an element of surprise exists even for the slideshow maker himself. The program supports drag and drop file addition and is capable of saving the output in a number of file resolutions. HD video output is supported as well and possible formats for exporting include AVI, WMV, MKV and FLV.
