What is SCS_MAX_LAUNCH?
SCS_MAX_LAUNCH is related to the software Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), which ships with various National Instruments (NI) products including DAQ, GPIB, IMAG and IVI. It may also come installed with the following software: LabVIEW and Measurement Studio.
Generally, the application allows the user to configure the settings of their National Instruments hardware devices and software. When the device driver or software (LabView or Measurement Studio) is installed on the computer, an icon for Measurement & Automation Explorer generally installs on the desktop. The user may click this icon, or access the app from the Start menu to start the program.
When the application is launched, a User Preferences window will appear. On this window, the user may set MAX to search for new devices when the configuration tree is refreshed, or each time that MAX is initialized.
When a device has been selected, the user interface will display the following: Configuration Tree (left panel), Configuration View (center window), and Task List (right panel). To start changing the settings, the user may click on the Properties tab on the toolbar or right-click the specific device or system, which opens a side menu where the Properties option is provided at the bottom of the menu.
