What is DeLorme’s Street Atlas?
The SA2013 application stands for DeLorme’s Street Atlas software, for the 2013 edition (which is usually updated annually). Street Atlas is a database of maps for the United States, and to a lesser extent Canada and Mexico. The Street Atlas software allows users to create their own maps, or to edit, print, and share the default maps contained in the suite; SA also enables users to create several databases for various purposes, such as for business, or to import data from Excel and other sources. Street Atlas includes updated place and street names, with such data as elevation, area, acreage, and so on.
Street Atlas also has printing capabilities and users can choose which information on a map can be printed; the application has several printing templates, which may be used to create maps depending on the need. The maps in Street Atlas are also highly detailed, which is only complemented by the variety of controls available for maps, such as zooming, drag zooming, view panning, and the likes. Street Atlas also enables users to annotate their maps by drawing on the map and putting notes on places of interest or in planning routes.
