What is RootPro CAD?

RootPro CAD is a program used to produce 2D illustrations. The program supports layer-based computer-aided design as well as most of the standard CAD data formats, including DXF, DWG, JWW, JWK, JWC, and SXF: it can also perform conversions for these file formats.

RootPro CAD is an extensible application, which means the full list of features or abilities for any given user’s edition can differ from another’s based on the plug-ins each user decides to install. At the heart of the program, though, are its drawing functions. It has a speedy rendering engine that also helps to smoothen viewing options such as zooming. It supports dimensional drawing such as series dimension work, parallel dimension work, and so on. It has entity snapping for linework with the option for precise angle entry to direct the line. Lines are customizable and users can select and configure their preferred hatching style. A full-screen working mode is available, the toolbars and windows are dockable, and users can generate exact-to-order shapes based on parametric entry drawing. RootPro CAD also has a backup function to prevent data loss and users can copy drawings on it directly to other applications.
