What is RiffWorks?
Developed and produced by Sonoma Wire Works, RiffWorks is a program that allows music arrangement, editing, collaboration, and the use of special effects in producing music and scores. The software is a freeware and is intended to be used by musicians and music enthusiasts.
The RiffWorks software lets you create music using a riff-based workflow that also initiates automated production of tracks. You may also use the pre-integrated 7 guitar-oriented effects into your music. A library of samples and effects is likewise provided where you can draw inspiration in creating and arranging your piece. The software supports different amp models including PodFram and AmpliTude. Aside from the guitar effects, you may opt to use the drum effects included in this software.
Using the software, you can play, record, and share the musical pieces you have created on-line. It also permits collaborative work among musicians as an on-line venue called Riffworld is created exclusively for the uses to interact and share their works. You can share your materials as well as let others rate or comment about them. The sharing of materials on this website is possible with the use of an integrated capability called Riffcast.
