What is RETAS STUDIO Stylos?

RETAS, which stands for Revolutionary Engineering Total Animation System, is a software bundle used for 2D animation. It was created and sold by Celsys, and is available for both Mac OS X and Windows. It deals with the whole animation production from digitally tracing or drawing, to exporting in both QuickTime and Flash. It is used by Japanese anime artists.

In 2008, Celsys introduced a brand new version of RETAS to the public, known as RETAS Studio. RETAS Studio is Celsys’ newest and competitively-priced animation software, which includes the whole RETAS suit inside a single package. The RETAS Suite includes Stylos, PaintMan, CoreRETAS, and TraceMan.
