QWS3270

If you are looking for QWS3270, you have come to the right place. We explain what QWS3270 is and point you to the official download.

What is QWS3270?

QWS3270 is a Telnet 3270 emulator. As such, it allows users to access and send out 3270 data streams over a TCP/IP network. Users can thus connect to IBM mainframes using their computers.

Users can automate tasks using the program using either HLLAPI, the program’s own scripting language, or COM Automation. Furthermore, users who use the software to achieve connections using 2 or more hosts can create multiple saved sessions with their own individual profiles and settings.

The program is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 SP1, and Windows XP SP2. Since the program is optimized for Windows systems, it includes features such as support for data exchange between the 3270 operations and other Windows programs. It supports Internet Explorer for browsing as well. Furthermore, both vector and raster (as programmable symbols) computer visuals are supported. QWS3270 Plus can be used to print screen shots during emulation as well, although it does so in color by default and users will need to disable that if black and white shots are desired. Screen shots can also be saved as image files.
