PyScripter

If you are looking for PyScripter, you have come to the right place. We explain what PyScripter is and point you to the official download.

What is PyScripter?

Pyscripter is an IDE (integrated development environment) meant for users of the Python programming language. Available at no cost, it runs on Windows operating systems and is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit computing systems, although the versions of it for either version is exclusive to that version alone (i.e. the 32-bit installation is exclusively for 32-bit systems).

As may be expected of an IDE, Pyscripter offers an editor with syntax highlighting, including support for HTML, CSS and XML file highlighting. Multipane views are also allowed for users who need to do simultaneous file editing or comparisons, and the utility has a search function modeled after the Firefox search tool. Being a Python-centric program, it has code completion features in its integrated interpreting tool and can also run a script without having to save it first. A tool for debugging is included as well that also has the ability to debug unsaved files. There is also a project manager, an explorer for files, a unit testing feature, a code explorer, integrated links to Python manuals in the Help section, a customizable and modern interface, and more.
