What is Plane9 Configuration?

Developed by Joakim Eriksson / Planestate Software, Plane9 Configuration is a scene-based music 3D visualizer and a sound sensitive screensaver. The program can be used either as a winamp plug-in, a Windows Media Player plug-in or sound sensitive screensaver.If it is used as a screensaver, it reacts to what you are currently listening to, be it from spotify, iTunes or any other music player.

As a music visualizer, Plane9 Configuration consists of more than 260 predefined scenes to choose from. Moreover, these scenes can be combined with one another to form a near endless supply of new views to experience. This is so because the program utilizes 35 transition scenes when moving from scene to scene. In addition, the program features support for multiple monitors. Also, it has a graphical editor that allows you to adjust almost everything. Furthermore, it detects when the monitor goes into standby and pauses or shuts down to save power.
