What is PicoScope?

PicoScope is a PC Oscilloscope software that also serves not only as a oscilloscope but also as a signal or wavelength generator, a spectrum analyzer and even for data acquisition because of its ability to stream data continuously. This software uses a simple and easy to use interface and lets the user enjoy the power of the computer while having help pages to explain all of its features.

The PicoScope has all the traditional oscilloscope functions plus real-time digital storage oscilloscope of the DSO. It also has Auto Setup features and the Custom Probes manager which lets the user add new probes or sensors quicker. This software allows the user to zoom in on both axes to closely view every element of the signal. Its XY oscilloscope features allow the plotting of one channel against another while its digital persistence features can spot glitches easily.

PicoScope also has math channels to add subtract, divide, multiply and invert channels. Signals may alo be viewed in the frequency domain via the spectrum analyzer. This open-source oscilloscope software is compatible with many operating systems which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista ad Windows XP.
