What is PerfectScript?

PerfectScript is an application that is included in WordPerfect Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK provides the user with a set of tools that will enable them to expand or customize the various applications provided with the WordPerfect Office software.

WordPerfect Office provides the user with office applications such as a word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation. Depending on the edition of the software (Home & Student, Standard or Professional), the software may also include any or all of the following: digital notebook, document manager, Web browser, file compressor, e-mail manager, eBook publisher, video editor, and database manager.

PerfectScript is a tool that works in conjunction with the macros (macroinstructions) created for WordPerfect Office applications. The tool allows the user to manipulate these macros (record, play or edit) to extend the functionality of the office applications. Users can also combine command statements to automate macro-created tasks.

In order to install the WordPerfect SDK, computers must already have WordPerfect Office installed. The SDK is compatible with Windows XP SP1 (Home and Professional editions), Windows 2000 SP3, Windows NT 4 with SP6a, Windows 98 SE and Windows ME.
