Perfect Layers

If you are looking for Perfect Layers, you have come to the right place. We explain what Perfect Layers is and point you to the official download.

What is Perfect Layers?

Perfect Layers is a program that onOne Software released for use with the Lightroom and Aperture (Apple) programs, which offer a smooth, clean photoediting experience with just one flaw—lack of layered editing support. Perfect Layers solves that problem, supplying both programs with layer editing abilities, drastically expanding the effects and range of adjustments that can be achieved as a result. This also means that PSD files with multiple layers can be loaded and edited using the abovementioned programs.

With Perfect Layers, users get access to reversible multi-layered editing. Users can work with multiple transparency options for their layers as well, which opens up great possibilities for composite image creation. Furthermore, exposure blending becomes an option with the use of the application, supplying users with near HDR-level results. The many blending modes supplied with the tool can be used to resolve common issues with landscape and panoramic photography, but they can also be used for profile photographers’ retouching, giving users true flexibility when using Lightroom or Aperture. All of this means that users who prefer these two programs’ interfaces and workflows can do without Photoshop in most cases, saving money since the latter program is far more costly than the first two.
