Papyrus-PlugIn

If you are looking for Papyrus-PlugIn, you have come to the right place. We explain what Papyrus-PlugIn is and point you to the official download.

What is Papyrus-PlugIn?

Papyrus is a type of Open Source UML 2. It is a tool based on Eclipse, and licensed under EPL, or the Eclipse Public License. Papyrus can be used as both an Eclipse plug-in, and a standalone tool. It gives support for Systems Modeling Languages (SysML) and Domain Specific Languages (DSL). Papyrus also has support for UML profiles. This will allow users to identify the editors found in DSLs for following the UML 2 standard. Papyrus’ main feature is related to a group of customization mechanisms. These mechanisms can influence a user-defined Papyrus perspective, and present it as if it is a “pure” DSL editor.

Papyrus is also a graphical editing tool used for UML2. It is defined by Object Management Group (OMG). Papyrus has intentions to implement 100% of the OMG specification. Each part can be modified, including diagram editors, model explorer, and property errors. Papyrus also provides a full support to SysML. This contains an implementation of the SysML static profile, as well as the specific graphic editor needed for SysML, so they can meet a model-based system engineering.
