Omnis

If you are looking for Omnis, you have come to the right place. We explain what Omnis is and point you to the official download.

What is Omnis?

Omnis, or Omnis Studio, is a full-featured rapid application development (RAD) platform which enables programmers to develop various applications for several platforms, such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X computers. Applications can be targeted for enterprise and consumer sectors, and for mobile as well as for traditional personal computer systems. Omnis is, as a RAD, a type of an IDE, or an integrated development environment, with several core features that set it apart from other IDEs. Omnis Studio is developed by TigerLogic Corporation, based in California.

At its heart, the JavaScript Client serves as the main draw of Omnis Studio, which lets application developers to create and edit a host of web and mobile apps, which can also be accessed online (without local installs in the machine) on any browser interface. Unlike mainstream IDEs that task the local machine to compile the business logic and databases used by the code, Omnis Studio instead uses its own servers to perform this operation. Alongside this main feature is that the server doing this function can also act as a hub between databases.
