NOTION

If you are looking for NOTION, you have come to the right place. We explain what NOTION is and point you to the official download.

What is NOTION?

The NOTION software is a music notation program that can aid composers, performers, producers, worship teams, arrangers, orchestrators, educators, and music students in their performances and recordings. It is considered as the only notation software that works with a standalone iPad app. It is a cross platform program which means that users can create, open and send scores in Mac, Windows and IOS devices.

Notion offers a unique playback feature that includes the orchestral samples recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, guitar samples by Neil Zaza, bass samples by Victor Wooten, and drum samples by Roy “Futureman” Wooten. With these samples, users can get a wide array of dynamics, articulations, and performance techniques. In addition, the program also includes several rules templates for other orchestral VST libraries allowing users to write dynamics, effects, and instrumental techniques into the score without ever having to see the VSL interface or programming key switches. Moreover, this feature enables users to simply click and select from drop-down menus to create custom rules for any VST library, without having to edit XML files.

NOTION also features an interactive keyboard, fretboard, and drum pad that enable users to conveniently figure out pitches, drum parts, and guitar fingerings. Furthermore, the program allows users to customize the number of guitar strings on the fretboard and the order of entry for each voice for the drum pad.
