Nikon Browser
If you are looking for Nikon Browser, you have come to the right place. We explain what Nikon Browser is and point you to the official download.
What is Nikon Browser?
Nikon Browser also known as ViewNX is software that generally ships with select Nikon camera models. The program allows Nikon users to capture RAW images from their devices, which are rendered in Nikon’s default RAW image format NEF. NEF image may be converted to JPEG or TIFF format for easy editing. This being said, the program also allows for viewing of NEF, JPEG and TIFF files on the computer.
The latest version of the software is ViewNX 2. Whereas the previous version allows for adjusting white balance and exposure, the second version provides the user with more editing options. Users can correct red eye, which usually appears when the photo was taken with flash; fix photo alignment, correct lateral chromatic aberration and crop images.
Furthermore, the program also provides the user with a utility for trimming videos, so that only segments of the video that the user wants to save on the PC will be extracted. Lastly, the user may also capture movie frames and save these as image files.
