What is NetWorks/OTDR Application?
The OTDR Application or OTDR Emulation Software from the Anritsu Instruments Company is a management program for Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer data. Optical time-domain Reflectometers or OTDRs are devices used in evaluating optical cables: these devices are capable of producing data crucial to estimations of length, faults and attenuation in fibers of this type. Since the data collected by these devices can be considerable, especially when high-fiber cables are involved, data analysis can be time-intensive if management programs like Anritsu’s OTDR Emulation Software are not used.
The OTDR Emulation Software allows users to process their data on their computers and also allows batch operations for trace file reformatting and updates. It can display several traces at the same time for smarter data access and comparison and also has functions that not only give users access to instant templates, but also provide them with the tools they need to make their own. Furthermore, it includes publication-ready reporting utilities for post-analysis reports.
The program is made for Windows operating systems higher than 95 and 98 and incorporates the Windows style in its interface design. It has 6 available localizations.
