What is netviz Application?
NETwork VIsualiZer or NetViz, in short, is a Python program intended for users to monitor devices on their LAN or a small section of the Internet. It is an important interface for information on the MAC addresses and IPs of those devices. Users can set the range to search either by the boundaries of the users’ LAN using the "Find Range" button or through user-typed IPs. A list of tracked MACs is also available. If any of these tracked MACs crops up on the LAN, the program displays the IP of this MAC.
NetViz is a "concept" oriented search engine that features an interactive 3D visualization of the relationships between concepts and their associated documents. It contains a self-organizing map. Users can select the menu option "Options | Reactive Interface (Toggle)". This utilizes an elastic-band gravity algorithm wherein concepts and documents will move to a favorable (untangled) layout where disconnected items repel each other and connected items are attracted.
