If you are looking for MuseScore, you have come to the right place. We explain what MuseScore is and point you to the official download.
What is MuseScore?
MuseScore is a program that features several tools and applications that enable the user to create musical notations. Through the program, users are able to compose music and musical scores. They are also able to create an entire orchestral composition, with all instrumental effects, based on the composer’s creative style.
The software allows the user to import from other musical notation program formats such as those based on capella and MusicXML, as well as other musical arrangement programs like Band-in-a-Box, MIDI; as well as GNU LilyPond, a music engraving program. For file exportation, the software allows for exporting to WAV and Ogg for audio files, and to PDF, SVG, PNG and PostScript for engraved output.
There is a version of the software that enables it to run on Android-enabled devices. The program is also portable, in that it can be stored on portable external device and used on other computers when the device is plugged into the port.
This is free and open source software, enabling external developers to contribute codes for the improvement of the program.
