If you are looking for MultiTerm, you have come to the right place. We explain what MultiTerm is and point you to the official download.

What is MultiTerm?

MultiTerm is a program developed by Trados GmbH to provide users with a terminology management utility that run on Windows systems. MultiTerm, or SDL MultiTerm, is the termbase application that stores all of the user’s terminologies used for translation.

The software may come bundled with SDL Trados, a translation management suite, or as a standalone application. As part of the translation suite, users are able to edit entries from the MultiTerm termbase directly from the translation window of Trados Studio. As a standalone application, editing and adding of terms into the database is done through the program’s user interface.

The program also features Hitlist, a search tool that is fully customizable. Users can opt to display the term being searched for, as well as other related information about the term, i.e. synonym, description or its translation. Users can also add images that correspond with each term, to provide a visualization of the terminology.

MultiTerm requires Windows XP or Vista, as well as Internet Explorer 7 or higher, in order to run properly.
