What is Microsoft Expression Encoder Pro?
The Microsoft Expression Encoder is a software for Windows designed for transcoding and non-linear video editing. The software has the ability to create video streams for Microsoft Silverlight distribution. It has a command line interface and a graphical user interface that was built on WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation). The Encoder Pro edition is the paid full version of the software, in contrast to the Express edition which is a free but limited software version.
Running Microsoft Expression Encoder requires a set of minimum system specifications: a processor of at least 1 GHz; RAM of at least 1 GB; 2 GB of disc space; 1024x768 pixels of screen display; a Video Card with a 128 MB of RAM, supporting DirectX (DX) 9 and Pixel Shader 3; .NET framework 4.0, Silverlight 4, QuickTime 7, and AviSynth.
