What is Macromedia Contribute?
Macromedia Contribute, now known as Adobe Contribute, is a website management and web publishing tool which incorporates reviewing, authoring and publishing in a WYSIWYG HTML editor. This software was created with the aim of optimizing productivity in web publishing while approval tasks and oversight are simplified. Versions of this software have been released all over the globe in multiple languages such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Polish, Russian, English, Japanese and French to name a few.
These contributes are consisted of two components, is a client for editing and the other is a publishing server which is described as “complementary” by Adobe. It also has a built-in browser editing feature that functions as a plug in for newer versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. These contributes are integrated with the Adobe Dreamveaver.
Originally, this software was released by Macromedia, an American web development and graphics Software Company until it was acquired by its rival, Adobe Systems, in 2005. The Macromedia Contribute software works well in operating systems such as Windows, and Mac OS X including Windows XP and was created in C++ language.
