What is MachineShop?

MachineShop is software developed by CTC Parker Automation that provides development tools for Interact Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications. Interact is the company’s HMI software that utilizes the Windows environment and DOS runtime environment for the development of applications. The software provides the user with a variety of modules such as 3D tools, tag editor, and networking transfer tools.

The software MachineShop provides the user with Project Management, an application that gives the user with a selection of utilities for keeping track of the entire development process. The program was developed to automatically consolidate all configuration and runtime data, allowing the user to access these whenever necessary, from a central storage destination.

In addition to its automated functions, the program also enables application developers to create backup copies of all their development files, generate a documented report of the development process, and create tag lists. The software also provides the user with a set of wizards that can provide them with assistance on specific functions and tasks of the program.
