M1 Tune

If you are looking for M1 Tune, you have come to the right place. We explain what M1 Tune is and point you to the official download.

What is M1 Tune?

M1 Tune is tuning software that works in conjunction with MoTec’s ECU (engine control unit) Kits. More specifically, the software functions as a tuning utility for fuel injection components. The software allows the user to adjust and/or check the settings for these components for better performance.

Main components that are covered by the M1 Tune software are broken down into the following categories: fuel formulation, fuel injectors, high/low injectors, turbo and wastegate, throttle bodies, fuel pump, inlet manifold/plenum chamber, intercooler, mass air flow sensor, and boost and map sensors.

For each category, several areas are checked and adjusted accordingly by the software. For instance, for fuel formulation, the following sub-components are checked: fuel density reference, fuel density temperature coefficient, and fuel stoichiometric ratio.

The M1 Tune software can be downloaded separately, free of charge, from the MoTec website. The software does not usually ship with the ECU kits provided by MoTec. There is however, a sample version of the software included with the kit, which the user can try out before downloading the full version.
