The LogixPro Simulator - Trial CD Edition is most likely a reference to the trial edition of the LogixPro 500 PLC Simulator from TheLearningPit. While a CD/key edition does in fact exist for this program, it is not a trial edition. The only trial edition is in fact unavailable in CD form, being a downloadable executable file instead.
The LogixPro Simulator is marketed as a PLC training system. In other words, it offers students of PLC programming and ladder logic a completely virtual environment for their learning efforts, also providing PLC simulation within the program so that users will not have to buy dedicated hardware. It was modeled after Allen-Bradley’s/Rockwell’s RSLogix 500 program, and in fact emulates that other software deeply, looks- and operation-wise.
While the full version of the program does not really impose limits on the types or number of simulations that may be run on it, the trial version does. Using the trial edition, a user can have only 15 days of program use and is also prevented from printing or saving work done on the software. Furthermore, he can only use the following simulations: silo, I/O, and door.
