What is Locomotion?

Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion is a computer game that was created by independent game developer, Chris Sawyer. It is known as the successor to Transport Tycoon. This game allows the player to use railroads, trams, trucking lines, buses, airplanes and ships to earn money with a transport company between the years 1900 to 2100. It contains pre-designed scenarios, as well as a scenario editor. It can also be played in multiplayer mode, with another human-controlled competitor. This game is played in a 2D isometric view, like other games that were made by Chris Sawyer. It was released in the US in 2007.

Chris Sawyer’s Locomotion contains five difficulty levels: Beginner, Easy, Medium, Challenging, and Expert. Different objectives are also available. Some require the player to finish in a certain position in the company’s ranking list, while others require the transportation of a specific amount of cargo. In some cases, these objectives also have additional limits, so the player needs to finish within a certain time limit. Several add-ons have been included in the game, such as more trains, trucks, airplanes, and other vehicles.
