Lingoes

If you are looking for Lingoes, you have come to the right place. We explain what Lingoes is and point you to the official download.

What is Lingoes?

Lingoes is a translation program developed by Kevin Yau. It supports 80 languages including English, French, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, Italian, Swedish, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Polish, Vietnamese, Russian, Persian, Latin and Norwegian. It also has the capacity to expand its dictionaries.

The user interface includes an audio option which can be accessed through the speaker icon on the menu tab. The audio function provides the user with an audio pronunciation of the word being translated, in the language that it is translated to.

On the search bar, the user can input a word and the results will be displayed on the Results window. There are generally three results that will be displayed: one, for the dictionary meaning of the word; the second one for the antonyms and synonyms of the words; and the last one for the translation of the word into the language or languages selected by the user. The translator can simultaneously display different translations for one entry.

The software also contains a currency converter, scientific calculator, periodic table of elements, unit converter and time zone converter.
