What is KG-UV Commander?
The KG-UV Commander software is a free programming application for the Wouxun KG-UVD1P, KG-UV2D, KG-UV3D, and similar radios. It is radio/PC interface software that works on Windows and Mac platform. The program is primarily used to configure the radio and program the memory channels. In addition, it is also accessible to users with visual impairment.
KG-UV Commander features the ability to import/export frequency lists in standard CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. With this function, users can save or archive different frequency lists ready for upload “at the click of a button”. In addition, CSV is a standard format that can be manipulated by standard spreadsheet programs – such as EXCEL and Open Office (free), giving users ease in cleaning and editing frequencies before pasting them and to the program.
KG-UV Commander allows users to read from radio or write to radio. It can also add, edit, cut, move, copy, paste and delete memory channels. Additionally, the program can edit radio configuration settings as well as Import and Export TW files (Wouxun programming software format). It also features the ability to set the band limits for the radio. Furthermore, the program can search duplicates, sort and print memories or memory channels.
