What is JSM Settings?

JSM Settings is an application that gets installed on the machine through the drivers for the Bella Keyboard. The keyboard and its drivers are from Bella Corporation. Bella keyboards were created to provide users with a video-editing device, where a jog and shuttle controller comes pre-built. The jog and shuttle controllers allow the user to control video speed, including frame by frame speed.

The application JSM Settings is the Mac version of the app. The application allows the user to configure the settings of their Bella keyboard, particularly the jog and shuttle controllers; where the user can pre-set the behavior of the wheels.

In addition to configuring the controllers, the application also allows the user to customize the keyboards special keys. The app displays a diagram of the controls, enabling for the visualization of hardware’s functions, which in turn allows the user to see how best to configure the functions based on what actions they want to execute when key combinations are entered.

The settings app is compatible with several media editing programs, allowing the user to configure the settings of the programs as well. Programs that are compatible with the settings app include Final Cut Express, iMovie, Avid Express DV, Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premier Pro.
