iTools
If you are looking for iTools, you have come to the right place. We explain what iTools is and point you to the official download.
What is iTools?
Eurotherm’s iTools is a set of utilities that are supposed to be used with the company’s Mini8, 2000 Series and 3000 Series controllers, as well as the 6000 Series recorders. It is basically software for setting up, adjusting and monitoring these devices as well as Ethernet and other connections.
There are 3 main components to iTools. First is its View Builder, which is essentially a screen display designer. Here, users can create custom displays to serve as graphic interfaces for their processes. This can be combined with the software’s included wiring editor, which makes use of a graphical interface for easy controller configuration. The wiring editor has dynamic mapping capabilities for the rear panel configuration, and also supports drag and drop user activity.
Finally, the package includes an OPC Server able to establish an online connection for the instruments. Users can also access the OPC server from a remote device if necessary, making configuration and monitoring possible even from a distance. Furthermore, the OPC Server automatically scans for devices by itself and detects them without manual intervention. It is also equipped with support for integration with Modbus RTU devices.
