IllustStudio

If you are looking for IllustStudio, you have come to the right place. We explain what IllustStudio is and point you to the official download.

What is IllustStudio?

IllustStudio from CELSYS is an art program that primarily targets manga/anime-style artists and Japanese users, being unavailable in English. The program features one of CELSYS’s creations as one of its selling points: Vector Map Technology, which allows for better image scaling during the creative process without the usual loss of quality.

The software comes with its own bundled set of proprietary brushes, including such manga artist staples as G pens, watercolor brushes, pattern brushes, round pens, and the like. Color settings for images (whether created or exported) can be chosen, as with other illustration software, and rulers for perspective, line or action illustrations are included among the tools. Working in layers is also possible.

One special feature of the software that most other digital art programs do not have is a built-in recording application that helps artists keep track of their progress or show it to others. Screen recording software is typically installed separately from illustration programs, but IllustStudio affords users to skip that step by making video recording directly available from the illustrator’s menu. Videos may be saved on the user’s computer or published on video sharing sites online.
