What is GT Designer2?
GT Designer2 Screen Design Software is a utility that creates human-machine interfaces for the Mitsubishi GOTs. A GOT is a graphic operation terminal, an electrical device that is often used in conjunction with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) in industrial settings to automate and control specific activities. PLCs are most often used to automate manufacturing processes, sparing companies the old manufacturing method’s resource-drain of having multiple closed-loop controllers for specific parts of the manufacturing process.
The GOTs play a role in PLC usage by presenting users with a way to access the system being controlled by the PLCs: most GOTs, like the Mitsubishi ones, are also able to control (adjust) system settings. Hence, GOTs provide users with a means of controlling and monitoring PLCs in real-time.
The GTDesigner2 allows users to design the precise display seen by users of the GOT+PLC system concerned. In other words, it provides users with the tools for creating an interactive screen display that acts as the virtual control interface for the person using the GOT in question. It includes a library of screen/interface objects (such as buttons, data displays, etc.) in the main product package.
