What is Global Writer?

Global Writer is a program used as a word processor for typing letters, business documents, school reports, and e-mails. The application contains a spelling and grammar checker together with a dictionary and a Thesaurus. The spell checker allows checking the documents in the following languages: Arabic, English, Russian, and other Western European languages. Global Writer also enables users to customize the Thesaurus and add a translation dictionary of any language.

The application is user friendly: it provides a simple toolbar that lets the user type instantly. It also offers Chinese, Japanese, and Korean scripts and is able to import documents from Microsoft Word and export projects to other Microsoft Office applications. An added feature includes a pop up keyboard in which a user can easily type in their language without the need of an additional keyboard. Global Writer is available in 100 languages and requires a Windows operating system, a 35MB hard disk space, and a CD Rom drive.
