What is GHCi?

If users are familiar with the Haskell Hugs program, then they will fill at ease with GHCi. GHCi is also known as GHC’s interactive environment wherein users can evaluate and interpret Haskell’s expressions and programs. Users can build shell commands which can start up GHCi, and use it as a type of interactive computing environment for different purposes.

If users activated their .ghci file, GHCi will load commands at startup depending on the path of file that the users specified inside the GHCIRC environment variable. Then users will be able to write shell scripts with ease to start GHCi in any manner that they want. But GHCi also supports interactive loading compiled code, as well as supporting all language extensions that is provided by the GHCi. This program also includes an interactive debugger.
