What is Freeplane?
Freeplane is a software used for mind mapping and analyzing data and information contained on mind maps. It is compatible with any operating system that has a recent version of Java. The application is easy to use with a lot of illustrations to accompany the Application Areas which is where the mind maps are designed and analyzed. The software is also equipped with a Caption and Demonstration nodes in order for the users to learn and navigate the entire program.
This application allows note taking with movable nodes, ordering ideas into a hierarchy, classifying information with metadata, and grouping these information with containers and accolade. Freeplane also provides the Freeplane Functions map which illustrates all the functions of the software to further enable the users to understand the whole function of the software.
