FreeMind
If you are looking for FreeMind, you have come to the right place. We explain what FreeMind is and point you to the official download.
What is FreeMind?
FreeMind is a mind-mapping program that basically allows the user to present their ideas, from concept to execution, in visual form. A mind-mapping tool allows the user to create a form of flow chart that will help them clearly envision what they want to happen, and how to make it happen. Apart from brainstorming ideas however, the software can also be used to present hierarchies in an organization or workplace, monitoring projects, project workflow, writing short literature and creating a knowledge base.
The software provides tools for inputting text, links for connecting nodes, icons and folding branches. Basically, the user starts with a central idea or focal point and then expands on this through nodes.
It allows for inclusion of hyperlinks on the nodes, and the user can integrate colors, change fonts, and drag and drop or copy-paste nodes from other files.
FreeMind is software that is published as freeware under the GNU General Public License. The program is fully compatible with computers that run on Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.
