What is FileCabinet?

FileCabinet is a program that was designed to serve as a virtual alternative to the traditional (physical) filing cabinet. It allows users to reduce document storage footprints by shifting to a digital storage model and also provides automated document management methods as well as instant document search functions. It has tools for document markup as well as for document history viewing and is also equipped with optical character viewing (OCR) capabilities, allowing users to scan documents and let the software work on their sorting based on what it understands from their contents from OCR processing.

When combined with NetClient CS, the program can save companies further paper resources by giving them a vehicle for giving others restricted document access: useful when particular people such as clients or investors need access to certain documents and require copies of them. It is a Windows program, and while it can run on 32-bit and 64-bit systems, it is not compatible with any of the Home editions of Windows.

The software is capable of integrating with the other programs in the CS Professional Suite from Thomson Reuters, so users can take advantage of its program recognition to further improve its smart sorting capabilities.
