What is FairUse Wizard?

FairUse Wizard is a software tool that lets the user converts movies from DVD files to DivX that easily runs on standalone players using DivX and Xvid codecs; the software does not work on copy protected discs. It also uses H264, or ffVFW codec suite. It can also be used to store several files in a single DVD. A Feature also included is the use of two audio track encoding that lets gives the option of choosing between original and dubbed version at playback; the number of audio tracks can be varied depending on the chosen encoding profile. An option of previewing subtitles on the preview screen during encoding setup is also available.

The FairUse Wizard comes in two versions: the free version which is called the Light version; the version occupies 700 MB upon installation, and then there is the commercial version; occupying 1400 MB of disc space. The commercial version has the benefit of converting video to portable digital devices. The software is only available for Windows however.
