What is Eureka's Jigsaw Mania?

Jigsaw Mania is a virtual jigsaw puzzle game player and maker. The program not only gives jigsaw puzzle players a “virtual table” on which they can spread out their puzzle pieces and put them together, but also allows them to create entirely new puzzles out of images of their own choosing. It is compatible with most image file formats and imposes no restrictions on puzzle size or piece number—users can create jigsaws with pieces in the thousands if desired. Users can also play the ready-made puzzles available on the Web: the program has a built-in search tool for them.

All the typical controls for virtual jigsaw puzzle play are provided: users can rotate pieces, arrange them around the window for easier preview, create a ghost image of the complete puzzle for easier solving, save their games, and so on. Less usual is the option to create mini-applications out of individual jigsaws as files to be shared with friends. These files do not require the program to be played and can be of any size as well. The program is available in a trial (free, limited) version as well as a premium version.
