The Enigma Browser is a free browser based on Internet Explorer. Unlike Internet Explorer, however, it has automated and built-in ad-blocking abilities, with its default settings set to block adverts, detected malware, adware, system monitors and trackers. Furthermore, it does not send user data to sites requesting it unless the user explicitly gives permission for that data collection.
The interface for Enigma Browser is fairly user-friendly, and its use of large icons for the top “ribbon” of the window makes it simple to find a control or command. The program has a number of features that are not found in most default browsers. For instance, it has a translation tool and multi-language dictionaries built into it, a quick search bar, and a management system for cache as well as cookies. The user should take note, however, that given its use of Internet Explorer as a foundation, the program will require that Internet Explorer (specifically, IE5) be installed in the computer first before it can itself be installed. This is due to its requirement of several IE files for a full installation (it simply reuses those files for itself). The program is also compatible with Windows operating system versions Vista, XP, 9x, ME, NT and 2000.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files Enigma Browser can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
