What is E-Reader by Foxit?
The e-Reader by Foxit or Foxit Reader is a PDF file opener, creator, annotator, and markup/signing utility. The interface is in the Microsoft ribbon design and documents can be displayed in a tabbed format, making it possible to open multiple documents at once in the same window. The software is lightweight, compatible with PDF portfolios, and also compatible with PDF text-to-speech commands. There are multiple view and display options, and users can also apply rulers and grids to documents. Search and bookmarking functions are supported as well.
As a PDF creator, the program is capable of producing standard-observant document as well as multimedia PDFs. Furthermore, it can create PDFs out of drag and drop operations: this actually gives it the functionality of a PDF converter. It can convert scans into PDFs as well and is also able to tag documents. Social network sharing is integrated, as is Evernote usage. It also has the ability to run verification checks on digital signatures and prompt the user for confirmation of permission to run an external program if a PDF file attempts to run one after being opened.
