E-Prime software is a set of applications for designing and running experiments and for managing ones data. The applications together provide a powerful and flexible means of covering all the steps from initial design through to data processing within a single environment. The program consists of the E-Studio, E-Run, E-Basic, E-Merge, and E-DataAid.
E-Studio serves as a graphical environment for creating experiments. It features a drag and drop graphical interface for experiment design. E-Basic is the scripting language of E-Prime. E-Studio provides access to E-Basic, enabling users to specify non-standard operations or objects not specifically addressed within the graphical interface of E-Studio. On the other hand, E-Run serves as the environment for running subjects, with a high level of precision for stimulus presentation, synchronization and data collection. E-Merge is the component of E-Prime that supports combination of single-session data files into multi-session data files while maintaining a history of each data file. In addition, E-DataAid is a data management utility specific to E-Prime with data security and flexible options for filtering, editing and exporting data for analysis in external packages. Furthermore, the program includes the E-Recovery feature which Recovers data files in the event of early terminated experiments, or lost or corrupted files.
E-Prime has the ability to play digital movies as stimuli (MPEG, AVI, WMV) as well as play several different audio formats, including MP3 and WMA. It can also record subject vocalizations using the SoundIn object.
File.org aims to be the go-to resource for file type- and related software information. We spend countless hours researching various file formats and software that can open, convert, create or otherwise work with those files.
If you have additional information about which types of files E-Prime can process, please do get in touch - we would love hearing from you.
