What is DSS Player-Lite?
DSS is a free audio program for Windows operating systems. It enables playback of DS2, DSS, and WAV files that were created by an Olympus digital recorder or a DSS Player software. It is a playback-only application. DSS cannot be used to create DS2 or WAV audio files.
DSS is used to archive notes, and is included with Digital Voice Recording products that feature model-specific functions. The DSS file format is a method of sending high-quality voice files attached to emails. It is used by almost all Olympus Digital Voice Recorders. DSS files are only 1/12th to 1/20th the size of conventional WAVE files, but there is no reduction in the quality.
