What is Deus Ex?
The Deus EX is an action RPG (role playing game) with a cyberpunk theme. This software, which was first released in 2000, was created by Ion Strom and combines stealth, first-person shooter and elements for role playing. This role playing game follows rookie agent, for the United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition, named JC Denton as he goes out to fight terrorist forces. The game is also set in a futuristic dystopian world in 2052.
The Deus Ex has won a number of awards and gained plenty of nominations. It has been awarded “Game of the Year” or “Best in Class” over 40 times by various gaming magazines and websites. In its maiden year, this software has been awarded by the Game Developers Choice Awards with the “Excellence in Game Design” and “Game Innovation Spotlight” recognitions. The Deus Ex has also been named as one of the greatest games of all time and has been included in the top 100 of the list, its highest up to the top 10.
Originally, the Deus EX was published by Eidos Interactive for computers running on Windows operating systems, however, because of its popularity, it was later on adopted for Mac systems and the Sony PlayStation 2 console.
