What is CursorFX?
The CursorFX, previously named CursorXP, is a utility software from Stardock that customizes the cursor used in Windows. The software adds new tabs in the Mouse control panel that access additional features: cursor look customization that improves the aesthetic quality of the Windows cursor using alpha blending, transparency, and other details for both static and animated behavior; special effects that activates from different actions such as clicking; and trail effects that follow the cursor as it moves.
The CursorFX has several build in themes that can be modified and set. There is also a set of preference attributes such as shadows, transparency, color, and size. The shadow attributes were changed in terms of cursor height, angle, sharpness, and darkness. There are also special effects and trails that can be set in terms of several types and parameters such as cursor ghost, particles, cursor follower, clones, length, initial opacity, particles per second, duration, offset, frames per second, and many others. Animations are created by overlapping images with each other from left to right; images can be imported with the formats CUR, ANI, and ICO. Original themes can also be created from scratch using several effects previously stated.
