What is Crysis WARHEAD?
Crysis Warhead is an FPS (first-person shooter) game developed for the PC by Crytek, the developers of the original Crysis. The plot followed Sergeant Sykes, who, during a regular mission, discovers the presence of a critical military resource in the enemy’s hands: this leads to a new, more dangerous mission that the player must undertake in order to seize ownership of the item.
Warhead is considered an offshoot of the original game, but was also met with a reception that saw many preferring it to Crysis. Most reviewers are pointed to improvements in the game’s AI, the inclusion of an online multiplayer mode, and more battles. It took PC Gamer’s Game of the Year award and has been released in 8 languages besides English, including French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Russian.
The game was made to run on XP or Vista platforms and required video cards equivalent to or higher than either the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT. While it was indeed based on Crysis, it was also a standalone game, which meant users did not require prior installation of Crysis to install and play Crysis Warhead.
