Chord Pickout

If you are looking for Chord Pickout, you have come to the right place. We explain what Chord Pickout is and point you to the official download.

What is Chord Pickout?

Chord Pickout is a program that—as the name says—picks out chords from any given audio file so that the user can have a playable score automatically. This means no more agonizing over chord and note identification, especially for those who do not exactly have perfect pitch. The user only needs to get an audio file of the song he wants to play, load it onto the program, then let the software handle the conversion of the file into a score that can be printed out for his use. The audio formats that can be loaded onto Chord Pickout include MP3, OGG, WMA, AAC, CD audio, M4A and WAV.

Of course, if the user finds that any parts of the generated score could be improved on or corrected, he can handle that himself in the final editing before printout: the software has editing utilities just for this purpose. It can also print out both the musical notation and the song’s lyrics (if available). The software has been confirmed to run on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS X 10.6 and higher.
