What is An?

The CFD-Post software, part of Fluid Dynamics, from ANSYS is designed to finalize the fluid flow predictions by providing the tools needed for applying the results of computational fluid dynamics to specific uses. In other words, it is a post-processing application for those running CFD computations.

The software has its own calculators integrated into it for further data derivation and has a multitude of graphical tools for visualizing data application. The software can create both 2D and 3D images, all of which can be exported in various image formats and which can be embedded in other files on other applications, such as presentations in PowerPoint. Combined with MPEG4-format keyframe animations for illustrating precise flow dynamics, this provides users with a comprehensive kit for demonstrations and presentations of their data.

The program also has its own mode made specifically for further processing of data from turbo machinery. It can generate multimedia reports and is also able to export said reports into HTML. More than one data set for a single problem can be loaded for comparison of multiple solutions and the program is macro-friendly, allowing simple automation to be accessible to all users.
